Well i recently resubscribed to Cinemaslave, as i took a break from it so to speak :D Am currently listening to my first episode of Hollywood Saloon, and it's a 4 hour episode devoted entirely to the early works of all sorts of famous directors. Despite the length and the fact i am highly unlikely to watch any of the short films mentioned, the podcast has kept my interest, and i will be listening to all future episodes.

Hollywood Saloon is my personal favorite general film discussion podcast. The sporadic episode releases are intentional to allow for the level of quality they produce (check out SIBS#11 for a complete explanation of how their show works).
Mondo, Cinemaslave and the Saloon are at the top of my listening rotation.

There isn't a podcast out there quite like The Hollywood Saloon. Check out their entire library, there's plenty to sink your teeth into. Mondo Movie, The Hollywood Saloon, and Cinemaslave are the three podcasts I never miss.

Well if you like old films, you can go to my one: http://paleo-cinema.blogspot.com/, but which ones am I listening to?

Mondo Movie of course.

http://www.filmbuffs.net/index.asp - Film Buff's Podcast from 3RRR radio here in Melbourne.

Cinemaslave - when Joe isn't too involved in real life to 'cast.

Groovy Movie Soundtracks - http://ratso.podomatic.com/

Here's a couple more that nobody mentioned:

Better in the Dark
Battleship Pretension
Chinstroker vs Punter
Coolshite on the Tube (Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! OI! OI! OI!)
Fat Guys at the Movies (for general movie discussion)

As far as Horror/cult movies go: (Apologies if these have been mentioned)

NOTLP
Deadpit
Drunken Zombie
Bloody good Horror
Dread Central (especially the Foycast)
Dread Media
Horroetc (G'day Ted)
The cult movies podcast (stomptokyo)
Genrebusters (yo D! get off your arse and post a new show FFS!)

That's about all i can think of at the moment.

NB: This list only represents about 10% of my overall podcast listening!

Hey, I have a lot of free time and I bore easily!! LOL

Dogme, you should give CD another try. I know F13 can come across as a bit of a dick but I think that is because he is passionate about cult cinema and doesn't suffer fools gladly. Besides, he doesn't take himself THAT seriously! LOL

I need more podcasts since this is the only one I have been listening to since I stopped
listening to the news.

I never heard of these guys but they sure did a funny Indiana Jones 4 review:

Hey guys,

Anyone out there listening to Battleship Pretension? ( http://www.battleshippretension.com )

I checked them out a few weeks ago (starting with episode #1, as I usually do when I take a new podcast out for a test drive), and I've now worked my way through all 31 of their previous shows.

I really like this podcast, and my admiration has grown as they've gotten more comfortable behind the mics. I fully expect the first few episodes of any podcast to be horrible, but these guys were interesting and engaging right out of the gate. They're similar to Hollywood Saloon in that each episode features the hosts discussing a different movie-related topic, rather than reviewing films. If you're interested in checking them out, may I recommend episode #19 (about the relevance of film critics to modern movie-goers) as a great place to start? It's good stuff. ( http://www.bpnutsandbolts.com/battleshi ... sion19.mp3 )

The hosts are David and Tyler, who live in Los Angeles. They have an encyclopedic knowledge regarding all types of cinema, and while I often disagree with them (they hate Fight Club and Alien 3, and they've both got hard-ons for Filmspotting), they're never less than interesting and engaging.

Consider adding these guys to your podcast rotation. They're worth your time. The latest episode (#31) is also good. It's called "Vampires vs. Werewolves."

I second Battleship pretension...it has grown to become one of my favourite podcasts.

Also surprised nobody has mentioned cinema diabolica? Its actually a very similiar podcast to Mondo movie. They do a bit too much listener feedback at times and the vote whoring can become annoying but I find the presenters absolutely hilarious

Oh and Joe, just caught your last episode about lost films.....absolutely top notch stuff.....you know your shit when it comes to the oldies  Keep it up.

I'm in an odd situation with podcasts:
My iPod is Mac formatted, but my computer is a PC (in my case, that stands for Piece of Crap). This computer has no sound card (long story), so I can't listen to podcasts at home. I have to go to my dad's to use his Mac, and then I end up literally filling the iPod with a back-catalog of months' worth of my favorite podcasts. Then I'll listen to three or four episodes of Mondo Movie a day ... I am currently about 6 months behind (weird hearing Ben and Dan wish their listeners a happy new year in August).
Anyway, the podcasts I always want to hear include

Cool Shite - lots of fun, feels like hanging out with your friends, if your friends were Aussies

Hollywood Saloon - epic and informative

Creative Screen Writing Magazine - Jeff gets some great interviewees

On the Page - Lively discussion about screenwriting

The Treatment - former NY Times movie reviewer Elvis Mitchell interviews interesting people, usually film makers

I just got some episodes of Cinema Diabolica, but haven't heard them yet

NPR's podcasts tend to be worthwhile

And my fellow genre cinema fans will probably like, as I do, the podcasts available through the Old Time Radio Network -- it's like film noir for your ears, complete with vintage advertisements.

And Tiki Bar TV and Onion Radio News are also faves.

Cinema Slave! I always forget to grab some Cinema Slave! As a Mondo Movie listener, I always look forward to a voicemail from Joe, and then I forget to actually listen to his podcast!

I'm definitely going to check out Battleship Pretension -- the title alone has won me over.

This is a great thread, everyone. Your recommendations are going to make me have to buy a new iPod with larger memory. Damn/thank you.

I'm loving The Gentlemen's Guide to Midnite Cinema so far. Reminds me of Mondo Movie with their fun and intelligent discussions on genre pics, and they seem like 2 nice guys as well.

cacutshaw: I'll second that. The Gentleman's Guide does what it says on the tin, two really decent chaps talking about trash :)
