I realise we're weeks behind the States, but did anyone in the UK catch the first episode last night? Pretty good, I thought, in the spirit of the films without slavishly aping them. Lena Headey made a decent Sarah Connor, Summer Glau is great and the terminator action was well handled. My only concern is that it could become repetitive, but I'll be sticking around for more.

I've recorded it on my PVR.
To be honest i'm hoping it's crap so i don't have to record any more episodes! My PVR is so filled up with stuff that trying to keep on top of it all is beginning to take over my life :(

LOL - I can totally relate. There's no existential angst worse than 'when am I going to find time to watch 22 episodes of House'? :)

Actually I just took the decision to get rid of my Sky Movies subscription partly because of this. However, as I'm replacing it with LoveFilm, I don't suppose the weight of things to see will diminish any.

Nobody followed up on this. Just wondering if it turned out to be any good at all ?

As it was easy to assume it would be crap, it probably had a chance to exceed expectations. Anybody see the whole series ?

I've only just got around to watching the first episode and i've got to say that i'm not impressed at all, but i will stick with it for a few more episodes to see if it improves.

I've got 17 episodes of the Prisoner to watch. (edit: I watched the first--what the hell is up with that white balloon? Strange show)

I looked at a couple of episodes of SCC but didnt care for it. if it doesnt have the visual look of the movies then forget it-and 43 minute "hour" shows dont interest me anymore. They have to be on cable so its an actual hour length.

I really enjoyed the show. I wasn't trying to compare it to the movies much.
Summer Glau's acting is strong in the things I have watched. Eg. This and Firefly/Serenity and Dollhouse. I thought that in series 2 Shirley Manson played an interesting character.

Enjoy The Prisoner, Kel.

I enjoyed this show also, I just wish that the people who made the series (this applies to all series though) had a fail safe episode in case of cancellation because it was left with such a mega ciff hanger all preparing for the next series that was not to be.

I watched most of season 1 in one go some months ago and was surprised how good it was and how much I enjoyed watching it. Still got to embark on season 2, but there is always so much other stuff to watch. Liked Summer Glau a lot and Lena Headley. The series didn't look cheep, some good action scenes here and there and things went along at a good pace. Season 2 looks a bit odd, with a Scottish shape changing terminator sent from the future to run a major company.
