Hi Ben and Dan.
Sorry if this is answered elsewhere but, I'll bite the bullet and ask, when is the next Mondo Movie podcast likely to appear?
Or the Movie War 'The Thing' commentary?
Sorry if I'm stirring shit! I know you're busy.

I've been on the lookout, too. They returned with a real splash, but I feel that momentum could well be dissipating, which would be a terrible shame...

It is disconcerting to visit the Forums and wade through spam, or scan the Mondo Facebook page and see nary a whisper of activity. If life gets in the way, that's fine - but a definitive statement as to the future of the show would be welcomed. Perhaps they'd prefer to commit entirely to Twitter, etc.

Regarding the Forums, it's hard to keep visiting when there are far more robust genre boards out there. No offence to anyone who keeps plugging away here (such commitment is commendable), but it does often feel as though we're mooching around at the fag end of a great party after most of the guests have long departed...

Hey guys, sorry for the radio silence

We fully intend to get back to the mikes - there have simply been a few 'real life' issues (some good, others not) that have got in the way a bit over the last few months. But we were takking about it last week and we do want to get back soon - there are still a few things we need to sort out on a technical level, but hopefully you'll have new shows before the summer is up...!

Dan

Thanks for the reply, Dan. Very nice of you to respond.

We certainly don't mean to sound ungrateful - it's just that such a quality show is a rare thing, and we all honestly miss it.

Best of luck with it all. :)

Hi Dan
Thanks, sorry to sound so pushy. We care and we miss you, that's all. :)
Life does throw shit at the fan sometimes, we understand that. Take your time.

But please record The Thing commentary soon. It's been, like, 3 years since Movie War ended... :-0 The Thing's sequel/prequel/remake came out quicker! :-D

Cheers guys - a lot has been going on since we last recorded, but what I will say is that there WILL be more Mondo Movies in the (hopefully not-too-distant) future. And we'll no doubt tell you all about about these things when we do. Thanks for keeping the faith!!

Even faith can be pushed to the limit!

I'd love to hear The Thing commentary - forgotten all about that! Some time ago I said I wouldn't watch it again without first watching it with Ben & Dan's choice words.

I need my head spider fix soon boys....

Yeah mine too, gutted there wasn't one last year so hopefully they will pull one out of the bag!!
I have had a bagful of recommendations and a lot of additions to my DVD shelf thanks to the Frightfest shows.

OK, some of you may have seen Ben's tweet last night - but if not, the news is this: Ben (and family) are moving to San Francisco sometime in the next couple of months! As you can imagine, sorting this huge move out has been been the main reason that we haven't recorded for a few months. But the good news is that once he's over there we will be getting right back on the podcast wagon. So it'll be a time-zone-warping transatlantic show from now on - but we figure it will be good way to stay in touch and nothing else should change as regards the show. So hang on there a bit longer and we will be back - from London and California!

Crikey On A Bikey.
That's quite a way to go. Was it repeated viewings of Cruising that made you decide on San Francisco? (Ha!).
Ben we'll miss you, give our love to Harry Calahan. I hope it all works out swimmingly.

Haven't been on the forums for a while (mainly due to the fact I forgot my log-in details and the automated password reset thingy never seem to work).

Anyway, I just wanted to write a line of good will to both Dan and Ben for their welcome return to podcasting. I've already seen and discussed BEYOND THE BLACK RAINBOW in some detail and am keen to hear what you guys made of this highly divisive film. Not yet got to THE TALL MAN but - as is one of the primary pleasures I derive from Mondo Movie - I'll now go away and seek it out to watch ready to listen to the transatlantic return of the Mondo boys :D

Much love and hugs to you and yours!
