Big fan of Adam and Joe and Cornish has been certainly flexing his filmic muscles what with this and co-scripting the upcoming Tintin blockbuster.

Can't wait.

Saw a couple of clips and him yakkin on about it on the Winkleman show last night. The two clips didn't really sell it to me - looked like a kids tv show with some awkward 'yoof' acting. The trailer looks a bit better, think I'll struggle to give a shit about the hoodie heros though . . .

The trailer hasn't really convinced me but a few people on twitter who saw the whole thing at the press screening preview thing yesterday have been raving about it. Joe gets a free pass anyway.

Am I right in thinking that it was a kind of cathartic thing for Joe as he got mugged by some youths years ago and he wanted to channel his anger into something? Not too sure.

Anyway I like the idea, sort of Dr Who meets Kidulthood plus Nick Frost never fails to make me laugh.

As always it's unfair and hard to judge a whole film from a trailer, but it's definitely on my must see list.

Have you seen the Channel 4 series Misfits, about a group of ASBO kids who gain super powers from a freak thunderstorm? I was put off by the initial press comparing it to Skins and the like, but recently got round to watching it and found series one extremely watchable. Yet to check out series 2 and the christmas special . . .

Yeh, my wife really liked it, but I wasn't very keen. I think I should give it another go as most people I know really loved it, so it raises the question, was I missing something?

I really enjoyed series 1 still got 2 to watch on catch up, might do a marathon this weekend....

I thought Attack the Block was just ok - the creature design was good but that was about it, I think I may have had quite high expectations as it good seemingly good reviews across the board so was left feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Funny reading that back from last year - turned into one of my favourites of 2011. The acting didn't come off as awkward at all, and I had no problems caring about the characters. Great debut from Mr. Cornish . . .
