Shogun Assassin has been mentioned numerous times. This is actually on at my local cinema (Rio Dalston in London) on 16th April. Me and a bunch of mates are going. Blood spray on a big screen!

I'm green with envy, Shogun Assassin is an amazing movie. I even have the original poster for it, which I bought when in high school in 1984. Still, I've never seen it on the big screen.

I'm still in my 20's and I used to like pushing the boundaries with the film's that I watched but as i'm getting older I am starting to get more offended by it. I watched a film the other night called "Chaos" and it featured one of the most brutal and just plain right nasty acts of violence to a woman i've seen in some time and I just thought to myself "Why the hell am I watching this?". Films like "A Serbian Film" don't offend me at all, it was too well made and OTT to be offensive. The film "Chaos" was very gritty and back to basics looking giving it a sledgehammer impact when the violence was put up on screen.
