Found myself in Poundland this afternoon (don't judge me), and came across a few surprises in their dvd section. Amongst the Jim Davidson standup and 80s American TV films, they had a load of copies of the brutal Oz revenge flick The Horseman - I pounced on that one! Plus I also spotted that football film reuniting Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, Rudo Y Cursi, and Nic Refn's Bronson. Gonna keep an eye on their stock from now on . . .

I wonder if all Poundland shops have the same stock?

This week I found (and bought) the three-part apocalypse horror The Signal - a blind-buy, though I half remember some positive buzz when it came out. Can't go wrong for a quid anyhoo! They also had Trailer Park of Terror, which I thought was surprisingly decent . . .

Got Down Terrace from Poundworld today. It's a whole new world of bargain hunting . . . !

A couple of Halloweens ago they had a stack of horror DVDs from Hardgore and I managed to pick up a stack (about 15) but not seen them in their since, Halloween or any other time.
