So I was listening to the latest Radio 4's Film Programme episode (podcast available here) and it featured a small segment on a guy who is watching one horror film for every day of the year. His website is here.

Quite interesting I thought. Not a major challenge for some people on this forum I'd imagine, but it's one that I might be up for doing next year.

In the meantime I'm still thinking of another one for when the 70 film challenge is over.

Maybe Dan should get in touch with the Film Programme and give them the low down on the 70MC? Would be good for the Mondo Movie name (and might force them to do more podcasts )

I've tried to do a film a day for a month a few times and failed miserably each time. I can't imagine doing it for a year, especially not limited just to horror.

I was thinking of doing a mini challenge once 70MC is over though - watching as many Masters of Cinema DVDs as I can fit into one day. Mainly because I came up with the name MoC Around The Clock and don't want to waste it.

Oof! Think I'd struggle to get hold of a different horror film to watch every single day!

I'm also thinking of stuff to do after the 70MC (my life is that empty :D) - was thinking of a Mondo Movie Film Club type thing, where the folk who agree to take part in turn select a film that we all have to watch within a certain time frame, then we all discuss as a collective. More of a group activity than a challenge.

In other news, I just finished a retro Re-Animator poster (for my own amusement), a pastiche of Karoly Grosz's poster for Invisible Man. I'm quite pleased with it.

FUCK! That poster is absolutely brilliant. Well done mate.

Love the film club idea too. A good chance for new discoveries there I reckon.

I've been wondering about doing an online viewing where people watch a film and then Twitter through/over it.

Didn't that happen before with Roadhouse? I certainly think it was mentioned on a podcast.

Cheers :D Thinking of doing a Black Cat, White Cat one next.

That Roadhouse Twitter thing rings a bell, imagine it's quite fun tweeting over a trashy film with a lot of stuff going on . . .

Awesome poster! I would love that as a print in my hall.
As for the 365 horror challenge, I did it about a year ago.
It's ok but you do end up watching a LOT of crap.
There's only so many box sets out there :?

And I did :D

Been dicking about with the composition for ages. Still not completely happy with it, but want to move onto something else now so I'll call it finished...

That's a great one as well mate. Love the colours. I'd like to see a poster with the band playing tied up in the tree - such a brilliant moment.

Think I want to do another retro style one next, just thinking of a subject. Possibly Miller's Crossing in an old school 30's Hollywood gangster picture style . . .

...well I started a Miller's Crossing image, but my attention deficit kicked in and wondered onto something else (a curse when I don't have any set brief to work with). Wanted to do something more hand-drawn, and came up with an Art Nouveau style image for the 1963 Georges Franju film, Judex...

Fuck! That looks incredible mate, well done. Still intrigued by a Miller's Crossing one.

The artwork dump continues. Thought I'd develop the style I used for the Judex image, hand drawn and rendered in photoshop. Think that image could've done with a bit more going on, so I tried another with a more packed compostition and a bolder colour palette. So I came up with...
