I brought this for £4.99 off Play.com on Blu Ray. Can't argue with the price but it took about 7 minutes to load up! I know it's a good price but that is taking the piss with the loading times! Anyone else had this problem?

I don't have that Blu Ray, but I do have loading problem issues. In particular, every disc I have from Universal takes a stupidly long time to get started - loading screen - advert - loading screen - blu ray intro - loading screen - needlesly over-animated menu screen - it's a fucking joke  . . .

It's worse than that om The Terminator 2 Blu ray! It's just one black loading screen for 7 minutes!!! It's really shocking!

I actually couldn't get this disc to load at all on an older model Blu Ray player I had, and took the disc back for a refund. A quick scan of comments on Amazon found that many had the same problem. I since got a newer player with a wireless modem and this disc loads up, but takes its time. It appears to be because the damn disc looks for an internet connection.

The bigger issue for me is that I don't want a fricking fancy menu with superfluous digital animation, I just want to get to the menu and start the film. The third Pirates movie took forever to load and when the menu popped up it was a talking skull. Fuck me. I don't want a damn talking skull on the menu, just make sure the film looks and sounds great and get me to it PDQ.

I couldn't agree more! Fuck having a fancy menu playing, all I want is a nice looking film and good sound! The menu for terminator 2 wasn't even all that great when it got there either! The film didn't look to bad mind you! Not the best quality i've seen but thefilm is nearly 20 YEARS OLD!!! I nearly had a heart attack when I realised that. I was 8 when it came out but my parents let me watch it! I could watch anything as long as sex wasn't to heavy going in it! There's no way I will let my kids be like that!

T2 is one of those films that I watched endlessly as a kid in a taped off the telly version - and then finally getting a proper vhs version and being taken aback by all the swearing and violence that I'd been missing out on :D

I'm getting less and less interested in all these super deluxe Blu Rays, with their over complicated menus and means of accessing the special features - I was actually put off from buying the new Alien Legacy set because of that 'innovative' MU-TH-UR mode bollocks  Laurent Bouzereau must be turning in his grave (if he were dead) . . . !!!

I have the Alien Legacy box set and it's well worth picking up, if only for the amazing picture quality on the first two films. Haven't tried the "MUTHER" mode and can't be bothered about it to be honest.

Got my kids (5&8) Little Shop Of Horrors for xmas as I love the soundtrack (got them that as well) but that enthusiasm to pass on my enjoyment kind of blinded me to the rather obvious adult subject matter of murder and a guy who beats his girlfriend up. Some swearing in it as well. But my 5 year old won't listen to the Wizard of Oz soundtrack I got her because of the witch. Even though the wicked witch isn't even on the soundtrack.

They watched Coraline yesterday and my 8 year old was terrified.

It must be a mine field raising your kids on movies! I imagine all movie nerd dads want their kids to have the same taste as them.

Think if I'm ever with child, I'll just throw em in at the deep end (I'm thinking Texas Chainsaw) and work from there :) . . .
