The Thing won. I'm still playing catch-up but I'm pretty sure the commentary never happened.

You need to listen to the movie war era podcasts to get a real sense of the enthusiasm draining away as it dragged on and on. One of the many things I've enjoyed about going through the old episodes is Dan and Ben's realisation that it was going to take about two years to get to the end, and the sense of despair that crept into the whole thing.

Haha, that's a great description of how it all went!

Yes, The Thing won. And no, we never recorded the commentary! It was a great idea in principal, but Ben and I see a lot less of each other now we have kids etc, and if we're going to sit down to record for a couple of hours we figure you guys would prefer a podcast than a commentary...

i would love to hear you guys talk about The Thing, as much as a podcast, my fav thing about your podcast is that not only do we here opinions from both of you but also there is alot of good movie info about and around what ever youre talking about and that is the most valuable part, youre great knowledge, but enough about you two. lol

The thing I miss most about movie war is the intro clip. Great to hear that explosion and guitar from Megadeth's "Set the world afire".

More Megadeth clips in the podcast please!

Star wars is my first preference among all of these movies listed.
