While we are all waiting for the commentary the guys over at HorrorETC did one already. You can find and download it at http://www.horroretc.com/ and its a really funny discussion bewteen two hardcore fans. Of course there are not much new infos to find, but it´s at least a fun way to see the movie again.

And so they raised the bar for MondoMovie. :)

So whats up with you two? IMO there´s no need for "just another thing-commentary" now, but you promised it to us. I would also accept a commentary for Dawn in exchange, perhaps we could re-vote....

May I suggest Ben & Dan move forward with a Thing commentary, Dawn commentary, Evil Dead 2 commentary, Basket Case commentary...whatever. We would enjoy it and lets face it, no-one would do it better.

I have already downloaded but yet to listen to Horror Etc's Thing Commentary ( if you like your John Carpenter movies then check out their recent retrospective - good fun listening, even if Ted does try and defend Escape from LA ! )

However, I still wait patiently for Mondo Movies version, if for no other reason than I voted on Movie War for months, and years, and decades, and millenia, and ....oh god.....I voted for it INFINITY ! So no cheating and switching it to Yawn of the Dead !!!!!!

Well, its a lot of fun, but it has the anticipated problems. Not much new information and sometimes you will just turn the commentary of just to delve into the movie again. I think Ben&Dan will have the same troubles. The Thing is just a movie to enjoyable to talk during it´s whole running time.

Of course I also would be glad to add "just another Thing commentary" to my collection, but I also would love another reason to visit Romeros classic again. But all in all this is like talking about DukeNukemForever - it would be nice to have, but we all know it won´t happen soon. :)

So sad that all the work I put into this clicking for MovieWar was worth nothing.

Does that mean it´s now only 14 years more to go? That´s much better than my "DukeNukem"-comparsion, because at least there WILL be a commentary.
