Has anyone else seen the new Appleseed movie? I saw it in Blu Ray the other day and my eyes are still burning with delight. Im not a huge fan of anime but I do love this style of cgi/animation mixed. In my opinion my favorite style of animation Ive seen put to screen yet. The story is nothing original and actually borrows from a lot of movies like the matrix, cell and other sci fi movies but the visuals are so great it far outweighs any of the shortcomings. Highly recommended.

the original (remake of) Appleseed was good looking a few years ago, but this sequel was nothing special i thought, despite actually having a better story. Maybe I need to invest in Blu-ray. oh and a billion pound tv. Ghost in the shell 2 (reviewed by the boys) was more entertaining and beautiful as is Advent children, the Final Fantasy movie. Bugger all plot but has big monsters hitting buildings, motor bike kung-fu gun battles and the most ludicrous 'end of level boss' finale.
