Hi,

If you encounter any issues when using the forums leave your comments in this thread & i'll try to fix the problem as soon as possible.

Hopefully everyone should now be able to upload their own avatars (had to make a change to permissions to get this working)

cheers!
Laurence

You being the man to ask.. When you copy 'links' on to the forums - is there a way of keeping the appearance of it short and compact rather than a load of html? Probably dead easy once you tell me how! :?

Aside from that, thanks for letting me get rid of Mr Hanky avatar down the toilet for good.

I've set up something like that on the Cinemaslave forum - it's not ideal, but it does trim long links.

However, there is a way of posting tidy links:
1 - type in your link text, e.g. "click here to check this link"
2 - select the text and hit the URL button - it'll put URL tags around your text
3 - amend the first url tag so it reads
[url="http:// this is the link"] click here to check this link [*url]

I will never remember how to do that...

Ok, just to make sure it wasn't a fluke.

Here is my test. I have been having problems posting using Firefox (it would shut the browser down). So if you are reading this, it is fixed.

Seems we have a posting issue...

It looks like the post you make is not posting. But it is. Give it a minute, copy your writing in case, then close the page.
If you go back and look you post should indeed be there.

Just encountered this problem, but seems to have rectified itself.

What's with all the Spam posts? I was disappointed when Ben and Dan said they would'nt be casting for a while (if ever), but the crape Spam posts are just ridiculous. Should I just take this site off my bookmarks? Does anyone administrate it anymore? I still enjoyed checking in with other genre fans and finding out about genre news, but it seems like even the web site has been given up on.

For all I know, Faust76, you might be a spam poster. I mean c'mon, 9 posts in five years? Hmmm, there must be a link in your post somewhere for a cheap dvd boxset  . . .

I do try to keep on top of the spam and I am absolutely the forum's administrator - it's been a hectic week though so hadn't popped my head in the door for a few days. Anyway, we should be spam free again... sorry folks!
