So far I've bought:

Corpse Bride
The Searchers
Peter Jackson's King Kong
The Thing

All of which are stunning transfers and I'm very pleased with them.
One thing I would say is that i'm being very careful in what I buy as a number of reviews for some titles have said that they are not much better than the dvd releases. An example is Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. I have the Criterion release of this which looks great. Reviews I've read of the HD release say that it's not much better than the standard dvd release so I don't see the point in double dipping here.

I've got no wish to replace my dvd collection anyway but I would like to get my favourite films in the best quality I can. For instance The Thing is definitely worth picking up as it is a definite improvement over the dvd release AND ports over all the extras too.

What titles do you guys own so far?

All on BD:

Casino Royale
Resident Evil Apocalypse
Hostel
Alien vs Predator
Hellboy

I've rented a few recently too: Training Day, Pirates of the Carribean, The Prestige.

Some are better quality than others. I'm in the process of fixing up my house so am waiting for the lounge to be finished before investing in a receiver capable of exploiting HDMI 1.3 and the HD audio tracks. Anyone been able to experience them yet?

geekysteve, i've V for Vendetta. It's a great looking disc and a very good film too. My only small complaint is that there wasn't enough knife action from V. I think I was expecting a more action packed film. But this didn't really spoil it as it had a good story.
Children of men is on my to-buy list after hearing Ben & Dan's podcast review.

bladesew, I haven't heard HD sound either but if the DTS track on HD discs through my 6.1 pioneer amp is anything to go by it should be excellent. I'm waiting for HD ready amps to come down in prices some before I invest.

You'll have to report back once you've got your system set up.
