I watched this last night and i'm a big exploitation film fan but i'm not really sure what I made of this! It's got a great exploitation title but for me the visual style was way to cartoonish to give it the proper feel! If it had a more back to basics gritty feel about it I may have gone along with it a lot more but something just didn't click with me. I do need to watch it again tho to really cement my opinion.

I can see that. Some of it was very Peter Jackson circa Braindead and Bad Taste but when the film has a title as blatant as that I don't think you can be too serious with it.

Seems to keep up the Canadian tradition of not being as serious with the genre as other countries would be. I was disinterested after seeing the video-look to the trailer.

Good summary of the film man.
How/where do I leave comments on your blog?

So far I have loved PLANET TERROR, MACHETE and now HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN. I didn't care for DEATH PROOF though.

Definitely more interested in seeing this than Machete, mainly down to Rautger. For some reason I can't see the title without singing it in my head to the tune of 'Girlfriend in a Coma' by The Smiths ("Hobo with a shotgun, I know, I know, it's serious")... but that's just me . . .
