Some really memorable parts in addition to his Alfred role in the 90s Batmans.
The artist with a vengeful hand in Dr Terror's House of Horrors.
The Lord who steals music from Herbert Lom in Phantom of the Opera.
The obsessed crime writer in Horror of the Black Museum.

He was also a cloned Hitler's stepfather in the Boys From Brazil.

And the "roaring giant" in The Haunting of Hell House.

I must admit my ignorance that I only remember him from the Batman and other Tim Burton films, but looking on IMDB and Wikipedia I will certainly be checking out alot more from his career. Glad that he had a long life and sounds like his illness near death was brief. I will be sure to check out his earlier stuff especially Dr. Who. Any other recommendations for favourite films he was in? I still need to watch alot of the original Hammer Horror stuff.

Ditto Fuzzbuddy. Although I might have seen him in Hammer stuff when I was a kid, sadly the Hammer stuff I watched as a youngster has gradually drained from my memory banks, but I've got a few on DVD now and I'm hoping to get round to watching stuff in the not too distant future.
